Just watched Ep. 3-10 "Culture Shock" of the Closer. Oh how much do I love this show! Poor Fritz, having to keep Brenda's parents company as she runs away to do this or that. And the champagne toast her father made, sort of apologizing to Fritz for Brenda's medical situation and comparing Brenda to an old car! It was stretching it too much that they would take her parents to her MD appt. though. I loved how her team reacted to the news as her parents talked about the engagement. I love the details, that take hardly any time - like Brenda's mother handing Provenza (I think it was Provenza, or was it Flynn?) a photo of the two of them together. I think she had one for everyone, but it went by so fast, I wasn't sure. I like how fast it was, the richness of the detail.
eta whitefont since I'm unsure of the rules.
It's supposedly NAFDA in here and it's been a week since that episode aired so I think you're safe.
I love the richness of the details. It pays to rewatch and observe what's happening on the periphery as there are usually some interesting reactions from the rest of the cast.
re: The Closer
my money's on the CFOs wife. Why was she wearing long pants and a long sleeved jacket zipped up to the neck when her air conditioning was out
. nice obvious clue
Yes, plus
the pepper spray. When they had the pepper spray and the Flynn comment about what'sisface not being a killer -- that's when I made the leap. The poison oak -
well, I knew that would be important when it came up earlier.
I loved this week's The Closer. They really brought all of the threads together in this episode: the budget problems, the homeland security training, the problem of Fritz helping Brenda, and Brenda's health problems. It all blended together so nicely.
I also love Provenza more and more with each episode. I really didn't like him in the first season, but I adore him now.
The car thing was also very funny. I'm always surprised at how much this show can make me laugh.
I'll have to catch up on The Closer tomorrow, I'm looking forward to it.
Has anyone been watching Hotel Babylon on BBCA? It's very fluffy but fun fluff.
I watched the first two - the first because they repeated it before the second - which had ASH.
I've been watching it off and on (probably more on, now that my cable box is working). I pretty much agree. I'm waiting for the shit to hit the fan wrt housekeeping lady, much more so than criminal! past!
I imagine no one, including me, is still watching Damages? I finally figured out where Glenn Close's apartment is supposed to be
(where Lucy runs out looking bloody in the premiere).
I was just walking by it just now-- it's very close to my apartment. I was about to say to Bob Bob, "hey, that's a location that keeps turning up in Damages" when he was reading a sign across from the building and said "hey, they're filming Damages here tonight" and as we walked past after dinner tonight, they had parked all the trailers and everything.
I have no idea why I told that anecdote. Anyway, it's on 17th street.
I'm still watching Damages. I'm not understanding how they're doing a season 2 with a completely different cast.
