Uh, are we gonna fight, or is there just gonna be a monster sarcasm rally?

Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...

To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I know! The Numb3rs pregnancy stuff was all "carrying a massive box" methods. I like how they've handled this pregnancy in both narrative and visual senses.

My favorite is always going to be Lily's hotdog eating championship for AH's pregnancy.

Trust my rage

Just wanted to add that I too thought the kimono was clever. They have handled that situation well.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I realize I don't look at the TV as much as one might, but I had no idea she was preggo.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

They've actually hidden it pretty well. They've done a lot of face shots, had her sitting at a table or desk, or shots of her from the back.

My guess is that she is having a boy (if the baby's sex is already known, I haven't seen it posted).

If you didn't knew to look for the "hide the belly" moments, I could see missing the fact that she is preggers. They did a good and varied job of keeping the attention elsewhere. But I want Sophie back next season!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I noticed all of the sudden from a shot of her face in one episode.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Why do you guess it's a boy?

It is my own pregnancy predictor that has worked a fair percent of the time (I really should document the data and make charts, calculate statistics and such). Girls seem to set wider in the womb, making the pregnancy obvious from the back. Boys don't seem to do that. Again, this is just MY unscientific prediction theory.

Librarian Warlord

It is my own pregnancy predictor

My BiL has predicted baby genders correctly now 23 times in a row. I finally got him to admit his technique this year - he waits for my sister to make a prediction, and then he chooses the opposite gender. So, we've now found out that he isn't an exceptionally good predictor, my sister is an exceptionally bad one!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oooh, interesting use of parallels and reversals (somebody else posted this in a Mad Men blog): Ann Margaret is (a) a Swede and (b) originally named Olson. Ann Margaret Olson = Peggy Olson.

I think Weiner has a thing for name play (see also: Alice Cooper).
