aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

There was a reference to Jackie O's pregnancy, too, and she had a stillborn child in mid '63, right?

I forgot about that reference, and yes she did.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

yes. I would not be surprised if all is not well with the Draper baby.

“Not dead yet!”

yes. I would not be surprised if all is not well with the Draper baby.

A Down's baby, perhaps? Remember what Betty said about wanting everything to be perfect in the season opener?

I feel like I should watch all of the episodes from the beginning with every new episode, because there is so much that is really subtle until you start connecting it to other things.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

And also the bit in the opener about Don's mother having a history of stillborns. Not sure how much of that is Don projecting his fears, as he isn't biologically his mother's child, but who knows?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I thought Don and Pete both looked horrified at the blackface routine, but for different reasons. I think Don appears to have a burgeoning social conscience of sorts, which is sorta uncomfortable because he's not exactly hero material. But I do think he understands the desire to be treated as an equal. Pete, on the other hand, probably thought that the whole display was the gauche sensibility of the nouveau riche.

Absolutely. And speaking of Pete, he and Trudy have a hobby, apparently... I thought it was funny seeing everyone's talent, although I was thrown off by Joan's dubbing.

I really love watching Peggy figuring it out. She's so sensible at her core that I think trying everything is really good for her.

I'm not convinced it's a lasting hobby. I think they wanted to impress people at the party so they practiced a routine with that goal in mind. Now that it's over, I wouldn't be surprised if they give it up.
