The discussion is past, but I just watched the finale to In Plain Sight.

The cliffhanger, as mentioned above was equal parts duh and hmmm. Of course Mary is going to come out of it...which means Marshall may be shocked into making his case, setting up a tough dynamic between he and Rafe. The potential conspiracy is interesting. I hated the Latin Activist but the story was so well written, I could really see her side of things. I wonder if she'll disappear...probably not. She's too good a foil for the team.

I'm hoping Mary McCormick steps up her acting a little. The rest of the cast is passing her by to the degree that Mary Shannon's cynicism is starting to look a little like 'mugging to the camera' to me. The writers need to do as good a job with her character as they have with the others.

Angry Fritz was hot. I'm glad he finally had something to do other than make unsubtle hints to Brenda about babies, but disappointed he didn't get his way. He's been shoehorned into too many episodes this season, instead of written in properly.

His response was totally reactionary. Completely understandable, but reactionary. Brenda is right. The kid needs parenting. I mean, I wouldn't want to do it, but the kid needs it.

The kid's parents need parenting. They need to step up. Drugging Brenda was incredibly serious and I haven't seen what Brenda's done to indicate the level of breach of trust that it was.

See, that's the thing. She didn't drug Brenda. Brenda stole the pot brownies out of her room. She did not offer them to Brenda or even leave them out where Brenda could see them. Brenda sniffed them out, snuck into Charlie's room and took one.

I missed that bit. I rewind some of my outrage. Replace incredibly serious with incredibly stupid and careless. And quite serious.

Definitely still serious. She still had pot mailed to the home of an FBI agent and a police chief. There is definitely a breach of trust there, but she didn't do it deliberately, and if Brenda hadn't been stealing sweets, it wouldn't have happened.

Grace is a real freakshow. I still haven't forgiven her for driving the alcoholic back to drinking, but getting herself beaten up after making out with poor Clea was an interesting policing tactic.

Well, she knew that they had nothing, so this was the only way that they could get anything on her. What was really fucked up was that the Clea Duvall character just sat there and watched it happen.

Are you telling me that Brenda's own niece doesn't know what a sweet tooth she has? How would Brenda have expected that a drug was in those brownies? Sure she shouldn't have been secretly eating, but I know a whole lot of people who would not be able to have any self-control when confronted with the smell of a warm chocolate item.

If you really wanted to be careful: You cook those brownies first thing, you open up all the windows and doors and you wrap the warm brownies in plastic then reynold's wrap so you can't be discovered and you HIDE them.
