"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'm glad that enough time passed that it was believable that Nate had stopped drinking. And I continue to love Hardison - Hinky stuff. Hink. y. :)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That was fun. Parker telling Hardison that people are like locks, very nice.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

That part felt a little off to me, actually. I don't think of Parker as having enough understanding of social interactions to come up with something like that. Sophie's character seemed a little off too.

Still very fun though.

Our wings are not tired.

Hi Cable Drama thread! Yes, I skipped the first 2400 or so posts.

Leverage! I do indeed love the show, but I was disappointed in the season opener. Why did they have to Tell Me who was a hacker and who was a thief, first they can show me that stuff, second I remembered. I felt they spent too much time explaining the characters and the premise. Again, they don't have to tell me that they are there to right wrongs, they can spend that time showing me.

While I am complaining I will add that the con was disjointed and confusing. The whole show didn't flow as smoothly as it has in the past.

But they are forgiven because my love is pure and I know that they will hit their stride next episode and entertain and delight me the rest of the season.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Why did they have to Tell Me who was a hacker and who was a thief, first they can show me that stuff, second I remembered.

It was to help people like me who heard a lot of good things about the show, but never got around to checking it out last season.

Sorry. If they'd just run a banner across the bottom with a website on the back-story, that would would have worked just as well for me. Maybe better.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

There was a lot of "as we both know, Bob," but that'll probably be gone next week.

I don't think of Parker as having enough understanding of social interactions to come up with something like that.

Sophie gave her the metaphor.

Calli, if it helps new viewers I'm all for it because I'd like for the show to stick around. I don't remember so much of that last year. But they did have flashbacks showing the players in their specialty. I'm guessing it will be more business as usual in the future episodes.

Possibly I was so excited for the new episode that I didn't want anything but all action all the time.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Well certainly they needed to establish WHY they were back together, after the way last season ended. I really liked that it was the team that lured Nathan back, and not the other way around, and that they've all gotten addicted to doing good.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I loved all the sly smiles around the table as Nate talked himself back in. But I'm looking forward to next week where less setup exposition will be necessary. They had an hour's worth of con to explain and less than an hour to do it in.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

It was pretty absurd that Nate had to explain how to launder money to a bunch of career criminals.
