As for collateral damage and the lack of--that's probably from the same TV rulebook that says aluminium foil can seamlessly reflect lasers, and that the alarm even works that way. It's a convention.
But see, being criminals does not equal a disregard for life and safety. Just ask my dexh, the cop. We've never seen them be blood-thirsty before, no matter how much Eliot might like the knuckle sandwich. Oh, that was fun. I really liked Sophie and Parker going off the roof, a nice call-back to the pilot where Sophie was terrified about rapelling with Parker.
Also, Parker was awesome.
