May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

“Not dead yet!”

Did Anita's baby die and there's just one baby? Wha?

This is what I'm betting on-- it would just add another delicious layer of resentment for Anita. Of course, knowing this show, it's something that's even more out there, such as Anita's baby perhaps being born with a birth defect or with Down's and being institutionalized, so Anita's passing Peggy's healthy baby off as her own. I mean, can you imagine? The bad girl having the perfect baby while the good daughter has one that's "wrong"?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

but there are two (maybe more - like three?) youngsters in her sister's house. are you saying that one is too old to be the one her sister was pregnant with?

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

There are 2 older kids and 1 toddler in Anita's household (that we've seen). If the toddler is Peggy's, there should also be a younger baby, but we've never seen him/her.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

From a blog comment:

Anita's baby will turn out to be the one Peggy mentioned to Bobbie who died. That would also explain the depth of Anita's "troubles" she spoke of in the confession booth.

I didn't catch that.

Another comment noted that there was reference to minding "the baby" (not babies) and there being one crib.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oh yeah, a nice line by Bobbie: "I bet you made yourself a copywriter."

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

eta: Hmm, some blog comment says it was a cover story on Pearl Harbor. Still, an odd choice for sperm donation

There were a few magazines. There was one on Pearl Harbor, but underneath it was one with a naked woman on the cover. Something about naturalists, as I recall.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The magazine Pete went with was called "Jaybirds."

Anita's baby will turn out to be the one Peggy mentioned to Bobbie who died.

Wha? What exactly did Peggy say and when did she say it?

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

She mentioned the little boy in her neighborhood who got hit on the head and then took a nap and died. Personally, that feels a little on-the-nose for Mad Men. I think Anita either miscarried or the baby was stillborn. Still, that does explain a lot of the resentment.

Ahh, yeah, I'm with Corwood.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I've been thinking about the scene between Don and Peggy in the hospital.

I think that Peggy was in some kind of psych ward. And Don telling her to do whatever they want her to do to get out and move on was very interesting. I think that Don was in a similar situation sometime in the past, and that is part of his sanguinity on the whole situation.
