I was kind of meh on Burn Notice anyway, and now that there's another show for me to watch, it's time for me to dump it. The fact that Mad Men is in the same timeslot isn't the main reason.

Cable Drama: Still Waiting for the Cable Guy to Show Up with the Thread Name...
To be determined... (but it's definitely [NAFDA])
It feels like I'm watching more new TV this summer than I do during the regular season. Every week, there's some new series debuting.
Is it just me or is there more cable stuff this year?
I agree - there definitely seems to be more this summer.
Is Damages on at the same time as Burn Notice and Mad Men?
Is it just me or is there more cable stuff this year?
Not just you. Or at least there's more cable stuff I want to watch. I'm currently DVRing at least one show a week night, usually more (and a bunch on Sundays), not counting TDS and TCR.
Between the reality shows I'm watching and the new cable stuff, I've got 4-5 hours of DVRing a night. And that doesn't include all of the shows I've dropped. I think Monday nights are the craziest. Plus, on top of all the new stuff, I've been watching The X-Files from the beginning on TNT, which is like another 8 or so hours a week.
Good thing I'm unemployed. I'd never be able to keep up otherwise.
Okay, Mad Men, Burn Notice and Damages all repeat often during the week.
Damages premieres next Tuesday.
Will move ICA contest info to other thread.
In the meantime the Futon Critic suggests that Jeckyll will start up on August 4th on BBCA.
I am counting on you guys to tell me if Damages is any good or not. I don't figure I'll watch unless someone says I should.
Oh my god, Psych was hilarious. I had to stop the video more than once just to get through my laughter. It was so great! God, Roday and Dule were both so *on* and hilarious. I love them like I love cake.
The Closer was also very good--I wish they could resolve this house storyline and give Fritz something else to do other than stand around chewing scenery. But the whole fax thing was amusing, and the story--while predictable--was engaging as well. I love Prevenza.
Haven't watched Psych yet but ITA on Closer. I also think it's really interesting how they're playing with the generational divide between Provenza and the rest of the squad. I do hope it doesn't end in him retiring any time soon, though it doesn't seem like that's where they're going.
Though I'ma have to remember to play with the Tivo settings. This is the second week it's cut off the last minute or so, and it sounds like I"m not alone.
