Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

IIRC from the interview (same one Jesse saw) he kind of said "I wish there was a network that did [a bunch of stuff he wanted including but not exclusively more Hispanic representation not necessarily speaking Spanish] - maybe I can start one". Which I appreciate.

I'm watching Longmore, Calli. This certainly seems like the right place for it, though I don't know that there has bbeen much in the way of discussion. Are you jumping in with the current season or starting at the beginning or what?

Compassionately intolerant

I'm watching Longmire as well. I watched last season, but feel the quality of the episodes has increased this time around!

I'm little worried about the goings on with Branch, though. He has never been my favorite character and this turn of events could careen wildly into the cheesy.

I'm much more interested in Henry's welfare. Fingers crossed!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I marathoned Longmire on Netflix, and now I'm catching up with the current season. I haven't seen the latest episode yet.

I love Henry's character! I'm a bit concerned they may be moving toward a Walt/Vic relationship, which wouldn't be my inclination. I think a Henry/Vic relationship could be healthy, if the show a) needs to introduce a romance, and b) has Vic divorce her husband.

I do like the long arcs on the show. Things from the first season are coming to fruition now, which is kinda awesome.

Oh, god, I hope not. Just no.

Wow, Fargo finale next week already!

You know, early in the episode I thought to myself "Lorne Malvo does not give a fuck" but I was still somehow shocked when he was telling those kinds about Lester hearing noises from the basement.

Poor Linda. And just when I was really curious about why she lied about leaving Las Vegas.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Suits is back! I don't know how long Mike and Harvey can be at loggerheads. It makes my tummy upset.

For those watching, did you catch this exchange at the start?

Harvey: "This phrase 'I know what the procedure is'—I don't think it means what you think it means.
Mike: "Well, as inconceivable as it might seem to you, Harvey..."

On some shows, that might have been coincidence, but not on a show with Louis "A Lannister always pays his debts" Litt. I wonder how many other references were too subtle for me because I hadn't inhaled the source material quite so deeply? Usually it's obvious--they'll even call it out from time to time:

Mike: I'm just saying, if you're gonna quote a movie, quote a movie.
Harvey: I got one word wrong.
Mike: It changed the entire meaning of the quote.
Harvey: Not to me, it didn't. That's what I thought the quote was.
Mike: Okay, fine. You want to be disrespectful to Martin Scorsese, you go right ahead.
Harvey: Martin Scorsese didn't even write the damn movie.

But what if a bunch more times they just slip phrases/words adjacent to each other? Now I want the boxed sets.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I love love Longmire.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

For those watching, did you catch this exchange at the start?

Wasn't there more after, or was that a different scene with additional references? Good times, at any rate.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If there were more references afterwards, and I am a bad person, but watching again would definitely help me on my quest for self-improvement.

Suits is generally good times. Even when I think "Oh NOES!! This is the one where everything blows up!" is still enjoyable as well as tense.

Plus, I might have mentioned, HBIC Gina Torres on fire.

I guess it was all the other stuff referred to here: [link] and not more Princess Bride.

While not yet updated, this tumblr is also fun: [link] It's just so earnest.
