I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ah, Don and Sally, so great. Pete talking on and on into the phone after Roger hung up, almost as good.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

There's a great recent interview with Matthew Weiner talking about how the writers just love to come up with scenes where Pete gets into a high dudgeon.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I loved his whole ridiculous rant to Ted. It was beautiful.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Almost as beautiful as the nutty rant itself was Ted making little half-hearted stabs at derailing it, then clearly realizing that Pete was just on a tear and all he had to do was make little meaningless noises every now and then and eventually Pete would either wind himself up and storm out or run down and slump out, leaving him in peace.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Minor question. I was still having eye problems when I watched it. When Don had Sally help him run out on the bill, did he slip a 20 under the napkin so the waitress would be OK? I thought I saw that but was not sure.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

They didn't actually run out on the bill, Typo.

He teased her with the possibility then pulled out a twenty to pay for it.

Is anyone watching Turn? I can't tell if it's up my alley from the ads and promos.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Well. That was a super interesting Mad Men.

It didn't make a lot of sense, but I loved Don's last line! Nice twist.

Did it not? I thought maybe I just wasn't getting everything. I enjoyed it anyway. And, yeah, that ending was unexpected and great.

Only a little ways into this week's Fargo. Are they going to give us the whole True Story spiel every week?
