It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

That is the only review/recap of this episode I ever need to see, Jess.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I don't watch Mad Men, but have a sudden urge to find recaps...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Graceland is like other USA shows, but better, says June Thomas. I guess I'm in, then!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

One line from that review,

But USA’s greatest gift is for casting.

really struck me. It's so true - even when the dialogue is crap or the stories are outlandish, I stick around for how much I like the people. On the shows that I've given up (Suits) or never watched (that U.S. Marshalls thing that I'm blanking on the name of), I still have a lot of fondness for the characters. Quite a gift, really.

In Plain Sight.

I really liked the guy who played Marshall.

The Killing: Jewel Staite with the Serenity line was pretty funny. I don't think I understand their relationship if he keeps his toothbrush at her place but she hasn't seen his tattoos.

I did not get the dramatic visuals. The dying cow and all the skeletons, the stand of trees that didn't look particularly like the drawing but somehow led her to what I guess is a stash of bodies, they just made me say "what am I looking at?" more than anything else.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

What was the Serenity line?

"Serenity: sounds like a stripper's name"

Something like that.
