I'm only half way through the ep, so I haven't seen the veto competition or anything - OOH, CURLING! - but that Jen chick is something else. She's like an obliviously evil genius Loki or something.
Also the romance of the dullards is both amusing and appalling.
Hey, have people been aware that it looks like the new season of GOOD EATS has started? Because I've seen two episodes now that were listed as "New" in my DVR. They've completely changed the time and day though (Monday @ 8 pm?). And they are showing different re-runs in the 8 pm slot. And moved Emeril Live to 7 pm. Makes me wonder if Emeril is the next to be phased out of the Food Network, since that doesn't sound like a time slot upgrade to me.
In any case, the GOOD EATS "substitutions" episode was a lot of fun.

Seriously. What the hell is wrong with her? I was praying that she'd lose the Veto Comp. because I didn't want to hear her cry about the stress! and the pressure! and the not knowing what to do!
I caught the Good Eats "Substitutions" ep--it was great! Loved the way that Alton was all over the substitute (hawt) nutritutional anthropologist, at least until the REAL one showed up. Lots of good advice, too, especially for replacing buttermilk.
Amber just cries about everything. EVERYTHING!

I think the one guy whose name I still don't know might turn out to be the evil genius of the season. Also, I did think it was funny when "America's Player" had to suggest annoying what's her name to be evicted, when he thought it was a stupid idea.

After gathering some actual data, "guy whose name I still don't know" in my earlier post turns out to be Zach, "America's Player" is Eric, and "annoying what's her name" is Jessica. FYI.
Kathy, you realize that there are any number of Buffistas in DC. And most of the museums are free. Plus pretty good public transit.
I'd just advise not coming during the summer. Or spring break/Cherry Blossom Festival. Or any long school holiday. Sometimes you can't get near the exhibits.
