I'm just watching the Next Food Network Star episode right now, and I guess I don't care how it happened (except OMG I TOTALLY DO HOW IS AMY NOT TOP TWO PER ANYONE??!?!), but at least Amy's in the top two.
As much as I hate Jen, she stumbled upon a way to make this an interesting nomination cycle.
True fact. Although, I've been saying for years that you should always nominate people in pairs like that! How sad will the producers be if the first three out are one of each of the "knew each other before" pairs?
So, I've just caught up on the last tweo episodes of NFNS, and I too am quite surprised Amy didn't make it into the final two on her own merits.
Also, am I alone in thinking that (aside from his fabricated credentials) that JAG has a little secret? One he's maybe not entirely come to terms with himself yet?

MY PAST IS NOT SOMETHING I NEED TO SHARE ON CAMERA! MY PRIVATE LIFE IS NOT FOR YOU TO TALK ABOUT! ALL I NEED TO TALK ABOUT IS MY FUTURE...
I couldn't believe that Amy wasn't in the top two w/o the drama either. She totally proved that she has the cooking chops, the food knowledge and the ability to perform under pressure that's needed in last week's IC challenge. After that I was sure that she was the one.
Meanwhile, over at Hell's Kitchen I cannot believe that neither Bonnie nor Josh went home.

Eh, Brad was pretty awful too. Actually, Ramsay was spot on - the only one worth a damn tonight was Julia (again). Rock and Jen both basically left their teams twisting in the wind, and the other three were in various degrees of meltdown.
I worry because she doesn't have the food expertise some of the others have, but I'm still gonna bet that if Julia doesn't make it to the final two, it's because somebody (i.e. Rock or Ms. passive/aggressive) sabotaged her.

Yeah, I must just be crazy. Clearly I'm way off base on this...

This this this this this, so much this.
The whole time I was watching those poor people getting put through that Iron Chef Jr. cruicible, being judged by Bobby and Kat no less, I just kept thinking "that's so cruel!" Not just forcing them to compete in an Iron Chef style cook off, but then forcing them to play Kevin Brauch on top of all that? SO UNFAIR!
And yet, Amy was the only one to ace the whole thing. She should have been there on her own merits, dammit.
I can't figure out Simon Schama (who does Power of Art on PBS, he just spent an hour telling how much he hates the French painter David). Is he just naturally bitter? Is he overwhelmingly jealous that no one's going to remember him in two hundred years? Is he oneof those people incapable of separating the painting from the painter?
Three Men and a Little Lazy are pretty cute.
