Okay, um, I'm lost. Uh, I'm angry, and I'm armed, so if you two have something that you need to work out --

I've really stopped watching FN except for shows that Alton Brown is involved in.

Me, too. Oh, and Duff Goldman, as long as he's at Charm City Cakes--I love the staff as much, if not more, than Duff! Mary Alice rules that place.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've um, stopped watching Good Eats. The show about how to be extra-paranoid about food safety pretty much turned me off AB as a solo act..

I find myself watching Throwdown in addition to any AB-related shows, but that may be because Flay loses a lot, and I like watching him lose. Also, I like the snarky comments his assistants throw at him.

Heh, I usually just roll my eyes. He so crazy!!!

But I like the production still, a lot.

Art Crawl!!!

Are you going to watch the new AB thing where he and his crew sail somewhere? (I can't remember the title. . . it's coming up in September, I think.)

Oh yes! I do still enjoy the road shows.

I've recently added America's Test Kitchen to my DVR series list, making sure to record from all of the various PBS stations Comcast provides (four right now, I think). There was an excellent one on filet mignon that I'm keeping until I can write down the tips and recipe.

ATK's recipes are online for free (unlike Cook's Illustrated).

I think ATK is my favorite cooking show. I want to track down Brigid and Julia in Brookline and make them come out drinking with me!

I don't know if Christopher Kimball has started drinking while taping segments or if PBS has approached him about being more wacky and approachable. Either way, it's freaky. Bring back the New England disdainful stalwart!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

The show about how to be extra-paranoid about food safety pretty much turned me off AB as a solo act..

I liked that episode, but I'm already extra-paranoid about food safety.

ATK's recipes are online for free (unlike Cook's Illustrated).

Only the current season - if you want to view the entire archive you need to pay.

Annoyingly, CI.com and ATK.com are lumped together under one membership, but CooksCounty.com is separate.
