I've recently added America's Test Kitchen to my DVR series list, making sure to record from all of the various PBS stations Comcast provides (four right now, I think). There was an excellent one on filet mignon that I'm keeping until I can write down the tips and recipe.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
ATK's recipes are online for free (unlike Cook's Illustrated).
I think ATK is my favorite cooking show. I want to track down Brigid and Julia in Brookline and make them come out drinking with me!
I don't know if Christopher Kimball has started drinking while taping segments or if PBS has approached him about being more wacky and approachable. Either way, it's freaky. Bring back the New England disdainful stalwart!
The show about how to be extra-paranoid about food safety pretty much turned me off AB as a solo act..
I liked that episode, but I'm already extra-paranoid about food safety.

Only the current season - if you want to view the entire archive you need to pay.
Annoyingly, CI.com and ATK.com are lumped together under one membership, but CooksCounty.com is separate.
I record ATK too, as well as the Gourmet show and Sara Moulton's new show on PBS.

Aha! Damn them.
I like watching Ming Tsai's PBS show (and really need to get to Blue Ginger one of these years).
Giada did not like her.
I was quite amused that for pretty much every presentation to that judges table, the contestants were met with a sea of cold, impassive faces. That's hard core. Nobody seemed to give any kind of feedback at the table.
The TC judges may make the occasional semi-negative initial reaction comment when the cheftestants give their presentations, but they are generally cordial and receptive. It was kind of fun to watch everyone have to sweat when met with just a cold steely gaze.
I'm surprised more people didn't just crack completely under Morimoto-san's withering stare.
I find myself watching Throwdown
Throwdown has really turned me into a big Bobby Flay fanboy.

I will admit I find him a lot less obnoxious there than on ICA, mainly because he usually knows when he's not in his element.
And even when I think he's being an ass, his food usually looks really good.

Um, yeah. You do.
