I was very surprised to see Cory (from Last Comic Standing) on the show.
She's been on the Apprentice and a couple of other reality shows too, I think. And generally crashes and burns.
The Texas Diva needs to be off my tv immediately.
God yes. Nice to see the judges aren't buying in to it. They're being a lot clearer and more upfront about what they're looking for here than I remember, which combined with an overall decent batch of contestants, seems to promise a pretty decent season.
Argh, I forgot to watch! Hopefully Darla the Tivo remembered to record it for me.
Texas Diva ---> Victoria Beckham
She does look
just like
Posh, doesn't she, le nub?
And I'm sure she doesn't play that up
at all.

What was with that floor to head-level establishing shot. It looks like they're trying to establish her as a "this season's villain" right out of the gate. All that was missing was some vampy femme-fatale music (maybe the Touch of Evil theme? probably too classy for her). I hope she crashes and burns before she gets a chance to fulfill her role.

How does that work? I mean, how many reality shows can a person be on??
But yeah, so far so good, with this group.
OK, NFNS has been watched.
Texas Diva bores me already. Yawn. She's not even an interesting villain.
Not sure who I like yet, to be honest. This is definitely the best LOOKING group they've had so far, so that's nice. (Seems like the Food Network finally twigged to the fact that NFNS is always going to be more popular than any show that comes out of it, so they may as well stock up on the eye candy.)

Ask Rob & Ambah.

I'd noticed that just from the previews they were showing in the week leading up to the premier -- that it was mostly a bunch of TV-pretty people. I was hoping some of them could cook.
It is still a little too early to tell who might be worth rooting for. The toothy blonde seems to be able to cook *and* handle the camera. A few of the others also seem to be able to cook and handle being on camera, but need to figure out their POV better, if they want to win. Should be an interesting season.
Glad Cory is gone. Hope the plastic Texas diva goes next.

Snerk. Yeah some people will do
anything
to have a "career" in show business.
