On my seventh birthday, I wanted a toy fire truck, and I didn't get it, and you were real nice about it, and then the house next door burnt down, and then real firetrucks came, and for years I thought you set the fire for me. And if you did, you can tell me!

Ha! Jesse, my sistah.

I remember being really annoyed by the finale last year, but watching it just now, I didn't mind nearly as much. Probably because I already knew who was going to win, so I didn't care about all the bloat.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I missed the hummingbird -- I was taping the performance shows, but not the announcement shows, but they weren't actually showing them on the hour -- everything was ten minutes off.

I did skip the finale.

I really wish they'd show Season 1 all through like that, because I never saw it, I started watching with the start of Season 2!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I watched some of it today, but had to go grocery shopping. When I got back I was in time for the last 3 shows. I liked the dances better this time. I was so biased during the competition that I really didn't appreciate everyone. this time I just could watch and enjoy! Can't wait for Thursday!

It makes me really sad that they just pretend like S1 never existed because there were some really beautiful dancers back then - Nick and Ashle and Destini and Melody. And of course my gorgeous Blake. I still go back and forth about whether Blake's Body Language solo or Danny's We are the Champions solo is the best one ever on the show. And S1 workshop week in LA kicks all Vegas weeks in the ass. And, more Brian Friedman with the curls!! S1 is made of awesome.

And in other SYTYCD related news, while I was searching Youtube for clips of Pasha's Paso Doble solo (What? I'm addicted. I know this), I found clips of the Aussie SYTYCD and it was likewise made of awesome. And while I believe that the top US SYTYCD kids are on the whole more talented than the top Aussie kids (though not by much), the Aussie choreographers, especially the hip hop choreographers, put Dan and crew to shame. Well, maybe not Wade and Mia, but all the rest of them, I'd trade in a hearbeat to bring over some Down Under talent. They should totally do a marathon of the Australian SYTYCD just like they did Britain's Next Top Model on VH1 a few months back. (Although that was sad because the British girls made Tyra's crew look like a pack of Naomis and Cindys).

Good news for bon bon: Amanda Lorber is coming to NYU! [link] (I don't even watch that show, but the clip of her lip-syncing to Mr. Roboto Rich had up on fourfour made me love her, too.)

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Amanda is all of us.

Oh my god, AI. I am so embarrassed for you. That opening was weak sauce.

And Kristy Lee in a cut out black top (BTW, more stripperware. Really?) and Luke Perry are not the two you want to start off featuring as "celebs" in the audience.

And, and, who let Paula have a bedazzler? And why?

Big David and Little David? Y'all, I don't think I can.

ETA: And they're really just gonna roll with the boxing analogy? Whyyyyyyy?

ETA Again: And why is ALW back? He was hardly the best guest mentor of the season. Where’s Dolly?

D’Archie is getting his ass handed to him on just ease and comfort level on stage.

Randy – Useless as usual. “Drop it hard?” What the fuck does that even mean? And he missed the memo that tonight’s theme was the sweet science.

Paula and Simon not much better.

D.Cook is really turning on the charm. If I didn’t already hate him enormously, I’d be really liking his personality right now a lot more than D’Archie.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm nodding at everything in your post, kat.

And I'll add, why does everyone choose such mature songs for Acheletta? They're much too old for him.

ETA: Not nodding at the hating of Cook. I really like him.
