oh, yeah, Kat, I thought the same thing. Well, you know that the rights were cheap.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I feel bad that any male dancers in the top 20 have had to be eliminated. It's just the reverse of Idol this year: the women are not as good as the men. I would have lost any of the bottom four women this week, but I thought Jessi did pretty well, actually. I buy the explanation that she was already a goner.
I would've been happy to lose any of the four girls as well rather than lose Jesus or Danny. Neil can leave and take his tumbling with him.
I continue to think that the choreographers are all bringing it this year. That Tyce number was really quite good. And as a whole, this group is still the best out of all three seasons. They all did an amazing job in that opening group number. There was a moment when Sabra and Danny were dancing out in front and both did some ridiculous quadruple turn in attitude . . . insane. As much as I love Dom, it made me long for a Sabra/Danny lyrical piece. I think they would be amazing together.
At what point do the guys and girls quit dancing together?
not till pretty late. Soon, we'll start voting for individual dancers, not couples, I think.
Yeah, fairly soon (top 12, maybe? top ten?) they're gonna split up the pairings. At that point, there's also a flip in the voting out, right? With the judges nominating the folks for the bottom and then the voters choosing who should stay. The dancers with the lowest vote totals go home, just like on AI.
Normally, I'm all for the jidges being in charge of the eliminations, but this year, there's no way that the voting public could mess things up more than the judges have done.
I think Cedric got the sympathy vote. If Mary Murphy hadn't been such a bitca, I don't think he'd be staying.
Mary might have been part of it, but I think the main thing that saved him was his speech. I was kind of afraid this would happen. It was a great speech, but he really should have been the one going home. I am so very bummed about Jesus. It really should have been Cedric, but if it had to be one of the three, it should have been Neil. Bummed. So bummed.
Kind of bummed about Jessi too. I didn't like her audition, but I've liked her more and more, and her 30 second dance was the best of the women's tonight, I think. And if they cut her loose because of her health, they should have said so.
hey, whatever happened to the girl who messed up her ankle or whatever last year, and Nigel said that she d be given an automatic ticket to Vegas this year?
some people found her on myspace and said that she had a baby and had gotten married since last year's audition.
I think last night's eliminations were atrocious! I am pretty ambivalent about Cedric making it through. I think the judges created the situation, but I also wonder (I'm a conspiracy theorist, but I swear I'm not wearing tinfoil today) if Mary's rant wasn't calculated to keep him there. I think the SYTYCD tour would benefit greatly with Cedric there. People might buy tix to see him perform whereas a couple of the others who've been eliminated, not so much.
I would like to know who the fuck prefers Neil to Jesus. I mean damn. Neil can do a trick or two, but he is so lacking in personality. And his partner's solo was ridiculously bad.
