Like the judges weren't going to notice what went into the dish? I mean, really.
I'm glad Stephanie did as well as she did. I was hoping that spending the day focused on the wedding cake would help her get her mojo back, and then when she fucked up the quickfire, I was worried -- but she's been in the bottom for most quickfires, hasn't she? At least several.
I think that Andrew has a point. It's one thing if the judges asked, but for her to volunteer that information was shitty. As shitty as Spike, frankly.
That's what I mean -- that wasn't something that was necessary for her to point out. And did she learn nothing from the Marcel/Ilan/what's her name (yikes!) finale? Calling out your peers -- especially in an individual challenge -- never makes you look good.
Edit: Elia!
Lisa seems determined to blame everyone else, doesn't she? Anyone could have knocked into that knob accidentally, for heaven's sake.
And sadly, Andrew has kind of grown on me. He's so earnest! And yes, crazy, but really pretty good-natured about it. Bye, Andrew.
Spike and Lisa need to go next. Lisa for her shitty attitude and Spike for his nastiness. That stunt with the lettuce and the tomato and the bread was just shitty.
And sadly, Andrew has kind of grown on me.
That's the other thing I was going to say!
I'd have much rather gotten rid of Spike than Andrew, but I'm not sad to see either one go. I think Lisa's on the way out soon anyway. And I still am liking Antonia lots.

or turned it up thinking that they were turning up a different burner. could easily be an honest mistake.

Yeah, I was really hoping for Spike to be out of there, but hey, Andrew leaving is almost as good.
Honestly, they could have eliminated all three of them tonight and saved us from two more weeks of assholery. It's not like either Spike or Lisa is getting into the finals.
And FINALLY next week the chefs get to cook some goddamn RESTAURANT FOOD! No more Top Caterer!
I still think this season's cast is the whiniest and most generally unpleasant of the bunch. I know S2 was bad, but that seemed to be contained to a few super-annoying contestants who unfortunately dominated the airtime. This season, though, I feel that there are so many sadsacks. Spike, Lisa. I never warmed up to Andrew. I think Dale is a talented chef, but he certainly veers close to the obnoxious line every now and again.
But in happier news, Sam is still all kinds of yummy!

Preach it! Dear doG, even when they've had a chance to cook a proper meal (the improv challenge) they still had to cart it somewhere. I really want to know what they were thinking this year with all these move-the-food challenges. At least real caterers get some decent prep time.
