Catching up on Survivor, end of Ep 3:

I'm so amused that the favorites, almost without discussion, put a solid shelter together and got fire going on day 1. I'm also terribly amused that it has so far not helped them stay out of Tribal Counsel.

Anybody watching Dancing with the Stars and American Idol?

Who gets kicked off of DWTS? I'm betting on Marissa but it's anyone's game!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Anybody watching Dancing with the Stars and American Idol?

I got bored with DWTS and switched to MSNBC.

I just got home, so I'm way behind on Idol. I need to get it down, though, so I can make my barista's at Starbucks look good to their big kahuna tomorrow when we chat like old buddy's about AI.

DWTS: Huh, I suppose I'm not surprised that it was Mario's exit. The judges just couldn't go for him.

About Christian's performances...whoa. hot.hot.hot. Much looser and more relaxed than before his injury...nobody seems to have mentioned that he has to be on some kind of pain medication...which might really be working for him! Mad props to his partner for the clever and effective choreography.

AI: Man. Jason seems to have just given up eh? Makes me sad...just because he's all cute and stuff and that Over the Rainbow rendition from way back gave him a permanent place in my heart but yeah...his bags should be packed.

I'm amazed by how much I like Syesha's performances these last two weeks. She gets the gold star for most improved.

I really haven't understood the David A love but he did a really nice job this week.

I'm a big David C fan but I had to shake my head over Hungry Like the Wolf. Dude. Really? To borrow a Simonism...bad karaoke. But I really liked the Who performance.

I absolutely loved Syesha's second song, but the Proud Mary just didn't catch me until the very end. Still, for the night, I think she did the best job. I did enjoy D'Archie's Stand By Me a heck of a lot. The Love Me Tender, he's too damn young for it. Jason, poor little stoner dude. He's got to leave the bong at home before the shows. DCook was good on the second song, the first one was just a big WTFDude!

I predict Jason will be packing the bags. Safe call!

Totally.

I seriously worry for him. I think the industry will chew him up and spit him out if he doesn't get the chance to mature before he gets on the exploitation express.

Jason seems to have just given up eh?

after quite a few interviews i've read lately with him saying he is and then tonight him mouthing the words "don't vote" as Seacrest was reading off his numbers, i'm going with yes.

No kidding?

I haven't seen those interviews, nor did I notice the 'don't vote' thing. Huh.

He still goes on the tour, I suppose. But what could cause him to just punt at this point?

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

The Love Me Tender, he's too damn young for it.

This is the problem with most of the songs that "he" has chosen. The Long and Winding Road? Smoky Mountain Memories? Imagine?

Jason seems to have just given up eh?

And the judges clearly want him gone. I have wanted that for a long time, but they were way harsh last night on his first song, when David Cook's wasn't much better. But if he's not gone for totally blowing so much of the lyrics on his second song, I think they should change the voting system.
