The Love Me Tender, he's too damn young for it.
This is the problem with most of the songs that "he" has chosen. The Long and Winding Road? Smoky Mountain Memories? Imagine?
Jason seems to have just given up eh?
And the judges clearly want him gone. I have wanted that for a long time, but they were way harsh last night on his first song, when David Cook's wasn't much better. But if he's not gone for totally blowing so much of the lyrics on his second song, I think they should change the voting system.
I liked Jason's version of "I Shot the Sheriff." More than the Duran Duran garbage. Jason's someone I would go see if he was playing a smaller venue known for acoustic music, he's got a nice voice and a good grip on the songs. Enough different to be his own, but not really competing with the originals. But, better than karoake!

I can totally see him on the folk singing circuit. And he's probably thrive in that environment just for the love of singing. He does not, it would seem, have the need/desire/drive to be an 'entertainer' which DC and Syesha clearly have.
I think DA would be just as happy singing in his bedroom for the rest of his life.
I love this Top Chef, but I'm a little bummed out that it's supersized.
I only realized it was supersized when I looked at the clock and they hadn't even gone to judges' table yet.
I'm actually glad they skipped Restaurant War this season. It always comes off so badly, imo. What would be cool would be a show based on that concept, teams given a certain number of weeks to create a restaurant.
Big kudos to the couple who agreed to let the cast cater the wedding. Based on past seasons, that was risky.
I missed the losing team facing the judges. What happened?

There is a show sort of like that on BBCA right now called Last Restaurant Standing. Couples start restaurants and each week are told how they can improve and every other week one is closed until one couple is left with a real restaurant. I'm wondering how long it will take for it to be brought over to the US.
What happened?
The boys went apeshit for a minute, they said Lisa's cake tasted better, and Nikki was all, "I was in no way responsible for any of this."
Lisa's cake tasted better than Stephanie's?
Lisa's cake tasted better than Stephanie's?
That's what the judges said.
I think they sent the right person home, since she was ridiculous in her avoidance of responsibility, but I was seriously hating everyone on that team tonight.
OTOH, I loved that Richard gave his win to Stephanie (and that she said they'd split the prize).
