Me too. I thought that if the curry had been better, they wouldn't have been so adamant about the lack of protein.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I suggest we rename Wholefoods- "Wholepaycheck"

Heh. I already call it this.

Although I was sad to see the judges pay lip service to the protein myth.

I suspect Markwise knew what he was talking about there and didn't articulate it well. It's not the first time the Top Chef judges have been a little behind on nutritional science. (There was a blowup last season where Ted eventually had to backtrack on something, although damned if I remember what.)

they all had the same $10 to spend at the same store. So I'm not sure what "fighting chance" he's asking for.

You're completely correct, but I cna see where having what you perceive as a serious flaw in the competition would throw you off. As most of us noted, WholePaycheck wouldn't be our first choice if we were trying to feed a fmaily of four on $10. That being said, rolling with the absurdity is part of the challenge, and he didn't do that.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

(There was a blowup last season where Ted eventually had to backtrack on something, although damned if I remember what.)

Lobster.

Mmm, lobster...

So, no one talking about the ridiculousness that is ANTM?? Fatima, Dominique, Whitney and Anya as the top four? When you've eliminated Lauren and Claire and Kataryzna??? RIDICULOUS!

'Til we dance away...

No kidding. I like Whitney, but that's more in the sense I'd drink a beer with her then that she should be ANTM. I'd say we're long overdue for a plus-size winner, but I don't think it's going to happen. Am I right in thinking that Anya's been getting the winner edit for awhile?

Honestly, I thought Dominique would be one of the first to go, and Anya too just because of her distracting weirdness. So I agree, this does not feel like the final 4, more like week 2.

The NBC deal doesn't preclude Cutforth and Lipsitz from continuing to work on "Project Runway," but they tell the trade papers that they'd rather focus on their own projects rather than continuing to work "for hire.

Hope that this doesn't come back to bite them in the ass.

Catching up on Survivor, end of Ep 3:

I'm so amused that the favorites, almost without discussion, put a solid shelter together and got fire going on day 1. I'm also terribly amused that it has so far not helped them stay out of Tribal Counsel.

Anybody watching Dancing with the Stars and American Idol?

Who gets kicked off of DWTS? I'm betting on Marissa but it's anyone's game!
