from what I can tell, (from a where are they now article I read last year) the HK people aren't that involved with the restaurants they are working in as their "prize" for winning. And one person was given the gift of being mentored by Ramsay.

I hope that's the case here. I was so excited that he was opening a restaurant within a drunken stagger of my house. but if one of those asshats were in charge, I would be most put out.

Though he's also doing the room service at the London so maybe the winner could be in charge of that.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

The "It's Tricky" ad was unfortunate - mostly because of the music.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I just have to say how much I love Dolly Parton. I wish I'd gone to more of her concerts when I was younger. One of the highlights of my concert-going career (not a lot of them, but the ones I went to were very memorable to me) was seeing Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers at the Cow Palace in SF. Fifth row seats and it was the most awesome show I ever went to.

Because books.

Dolly is awesome. Did I miss her finding Jesus, though? I mean, I knew she was a Christian, but I sort of didn't expect a song about Jesus.
