He looks like Marcel's cooler, better-looking older brother.
You're right! Heh.
So far, Andrew is working my last nerve, Antonia is really pretty, Valerie was no great loss (and looked a little like Rachel Dratch from SNL), and Dale is the token Annoying! Arrogant! guy. I don't have a real favorite yet.
Richard's the one annoying the hell out of me, but it may just be that HAIR!
Yeah, and all the molecular gastronomy nonsense. Enough! If this season is foamtastic again, I *will* scream.
I haven't seen the ep yet, but blini are not difficult. If you can make pancakes, you can make blini. (Texturewise they should be like a hefty crepe. They shouldn't bend under the weight of a dollop of caviar with creme fraiche, but they shouldn't be doughy either.)
What she made looked more like silver dollar pancakes (and seriously thick ones at that) than blinis.
Is TWoP not recapping Big Brother anymore? Or are they just a few eps behind?
Huh. Yeah, blini should be closer to the size of a quarter or a Sacajawea.
I love the hors d'oeuvre challenges - they tend to be very revealing. And seriously - stuffed mushroom woman should have been gone. And I can't believe the neither her or Dale or whoever their 3rd team mate was tasted the mushrooms with the cheese. Plus, shouldn't they understand the taste of pecorino?? It's not just for looks!
Also, they had pretty much the only animal that is an omnivore. I am really appalled at how little they took advantage of that. Surely they could have found something more interesting to do with berries than stuff mushrooms??
That entire team was annoying me with their CYA act.
Evidently, the pronunciation of "blini" got on Ted Allen's nerves, too. He talks about it in his blog.
So far, Andrew is working my last nerve
I kinda like crazy Andy. He reminds me of a coffee slacker I know and love.
Valerie was no great loss (and looked a little like Rachel Dratch from SNL)
Apropos of nothing, Rachel Dratch was at a poetry reading I did in New York last month. I had no idea, and only found out later when I saw a picture of her there.
I don't have a real favorite yet.
I want a woman to win, but Hobbit Mark is winning me over.
