Yeah, I thought blini were supposed to be much thinner.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Yeah, they should be very thin and tender, not little pancake things.
blinis are like crepey things that you eat with sour cream and caviar, no? Though again, i am not a chef, so....I would probably make a pancake thin, and lose. But that's why I'm not on top chef!
Aww. Top Model kicked off Marvita. Stupid Top Model. She was awesome. Get rid of crazy Fatima! And annoying Dominique! BOO.
The hobbit reminds me really strongly of someone, and until I figure out who I can't tell if it's a good thing or a bad thing and it's making me nutso.
He looks like Marcel's cooler, better-looking older brother.

You're right! Heh.
So far, Andrew is working my last nerve, Antonia is really pretty, Valerie was no great loss (and looked a little like Rachel Dratch from SNL), and Dale is the token Annoying! Arrogant! guy. I don't have a real favorite yet.
Richard's the one annoying the hell out of me, but it may just be that HAIR!
Yeah, and all the molecular gastronomy nonsense. Enough! If this season is foamtastic again, I *will* scream.
I haven't seen the ep yet, but blini are not difficult. If you can make pancakes, you can make blini. (Texturewise they should be like a hefty crepe. They shouldn't bend under the weight of a dollop of caviar with creme fraiche, but they shouldn't be doughy either.)
What she made looked more like silver dollar pancakes (and seriously thick ones at that) than blinis.
