Because books.

That was weird, with Kristy. It could have been cute, but the band played way too fast for her, and it all sounded off. Strange.

Amanda should have tried out for the lead singer of INXS. Seriously, she's wasted on this show. They want pop with a bit of grit. This girl is hard fucking rock. She needs a band behind her, a huge stage to prowl and a stadium rocking out to it all.

OMG, I had to fast forward through Kristy. Sparkly? I don't think so.

This about David H "I find him totally forgettable every week" is totally true and I think it's because he is a black hole of anti-charisma. But his voice is really beautiful just as an instrument detached from the total boring package that is David H.

I can't even speak on the abomination that was Kristy Lee Cook. I am weeping for Alexandrea.

Amanda Overmyer – You Can’t Do That

OK, she looks like a crazy woman. The skunkiness is a little bit better tonight. And she looks happier to be here. This is a lot of fun. Now I’m remembering why I used to like her. She can really sing. Nice bluesy funk. That kicked some serious ass. Good for her. Loved it! Tired of the inter-judge bickering already.

Michael Johns – Across the Universe

What is cute about him? I just don’t get it. Noooo. I wanted someone I like to sing this song, not this fool. Oh, well. Don’t fuck it up. He sounds amazing. He is in fine voice tonight, thank heaven. I think it might just because I flove this song, too. Well, I liked him more tonight than I’ve ever liked him before. But I still don’t like him. Huh, I agreed with Paula. That almost never happens.

Kristy Lee Cook – 8 Days a Week

Hate. Pre-hate. I want my Alexandrea, dammit! Oh, god. Countrified Eight Days a Week? I just can’t. There. Are. No. Words. All the dead Beatles should crawl out of their graves, run over to Sir Paul’s ex- home and grab one of Heather's plastic legs and beat her to death with it. You suck. Go home now. When even Paula turns against you, you are sunk. Of course, the judges have ensured that she will stay for another week.

Because books.

::sits with Sail::

The one thing I hate about this show now is the stupid bickering and antics with Simon. Shut UP already. I'm so very over him. I mean, Paula and her ridiculous incoherence is bad enough, but Simon is like a belligerent ten-year-old who doesn't know when to shut his mouth or back off and just BE POLITE.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm thinking Kristy and Syesha are gone. Not many breakout (or even interesting) performances here tonight though, Chikezie aside.

Huh, I didn't realize I fast forwarded right past Michael. Oh, well.

David - good voice, really poor choice of song. He's what, 16? I didn't feel it.

David A – We Can Work It Out

In the pimp spot. And he doesn’t even need it. Are they trying to make people turn on him? Nice. Good song choice for him. Oh, poor baby. He flubbed the words. What a weird arrangement. Is this the Stevie version? Because it is not good. And he doesn’t know even one of the words. So this is really bad. Really bad. I cannot believe that on this night of some pretty great performances this got the pimp spot. Really, really not good. Judges totally right. Simon totally right again. Goodness, stop with the judge catfighting. Nobody cares anymore. The whole world is over it.

Damn, I had already forgotten what half of them sang. Please, for the love of all that is holy, let Kristy Lee go home this week.

My cable hiccuped and I wasn't sure if David A. forgot his lyrics -- I guess he did.

Also, I don't think he really has the voice for fast songs. I feel like his voice is perfect for the type of slow songs that call for a dark "Star Search" stage, and a single light shining on him like "Imagine." Uptempo songs don't seem to "fit" him.

Michael Johns also reminds me more of Mark Ruffalo than the Michael Hutchence thing they've been trying to sell me on.

Because books.

Sail, you should have listened to the whole David Cook -- I thought he rocked it at the end.

Poor David A. That was wretched. I always feel bad when they're so young and they just bomb.
