Es Colombiano! Claro que si. That’s super cool. Yep. I love this dread locked stoner kid. Enough to overlook my general disdain for the white man’s locks. He really needs to stop making creepy faces, though. That was a beautiful performance, if a little bit expected. Kinda felt like a retread of his first performance. As usual, I agree with Simon. It seemed like a lazy choice.
Carly Smithson – Come Together
Huh. Not the song I expected her to choose. Totally thought Amanda would do it. But a great song choice for her. This is the best she’s looked since she’s been on the show. I love that dress and want it for me. That was funky. And that totally wasn’t her husband unless he’s had some serious laser tattoo removal surgery. Also, yes, she's good but she ain’t no Kelly Clarkson.
David Cook – Eleanor Rigby
Haaaaattteee! Pre-emptive hate. You were a “drink slinger”? Who says that? Tools and douchebags. That’s who. He’s just such an enormous poser. I’m so very bored now. And just so unattractive. Looks and vocals. He can’t sing any better than 50 other bar band singers. And why does he look like a 70 year old orangutan? Let the tongue bath commence. Sigh.

Huh. One of the songs that I definitely did not want to hear anyone do tonight. It’s just so cliché. I think she’ll do it well. But I won’t care. She has a really pretty voice. And, just like last week, she really knows what to do with it. She never forces or tries to sing outside of herself. Very pretty. She’s very sweet. Didn’t do much for me, but I’m glad the judges liked it because I want to see her next week.

I love Brooke. I was seriously underwhelmed by her performance tonight. I was much more charmed by her interview afterwards than I was by her singing. But for me it really was the song. I wouldn't like anyone singing Let It Be because it's played out.
Carly has a great voice, but for me she's like the female David H. No charisma whatsoever. She doesn't have that elusive star quality, which is probably why she didn't make it the first time.
And speaking of David H., ouch. That was decidedly not good. Oh well, shoulda been Danny's spot anyway.
David Hernandez – I Saw Her Standing There
Job at a pizza bistro? Reaaallly? Woulda went? Um, I think in order to be a journalist, you need to be able to speak English. This fool can really sing. I’m never quite prepared for it. The low notes are really bottoming out on him tonight, though. What is with the skinny argyle tie? He never really got any power into his voice in that performance. And he is completely charisma free. He has no charm. Maybe with his clothes off?
