Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Oh, the prayer thing just happened. I hate that. But it happened in gorgeous scenery. I love my home!
That was absolutely gorgeous landscape. I want to take one of those helicopter rides. I would have been happy with any of those three teams, but I thought Rachel and TK were the best ones this leg, so even though it would have been nice to see an older and/or non-white team win, I was glad they won.
Yay, TAR!
While I'm heartbroken for Don & Nick (I really think they could have won with Don's expertise with the fish, but for the gaffe.), I liked TK & Rachel a lot, and I'm happy for them.
It was lovely for it to be in Alaska. And I'm not from there, but I still recognized lots of stuff. It's so gorgeous. I really envy them that helicopter ride.
I liked it. It was a really great season. And congrats to Team Mellow.
TAR: Feh. The young couple won. It was one of the best Top 3 in ages, and I can't really complain about the winner, but I still will.

You really have to love Don. Nick was dithering, and Don just said, "Oh. Here it is."
Yeah, I loved that exchange. Don was all whick whick whick. Nick was all, what, inside? And then Don was like, don't worry, you don't have to get your pretty boy hands messy, I've already found it.
Hee.
I kinda feel bad for Nick, 'cause he ended up with all the responsibility for the fail in the last ep. He forgot the bag. He stood by and watched for the fish gutting. He was by far the weaker up the glacier. And he was the one doing the memory challenge.
Which, by the way, I'm so glad that Team Implosion didn't make it to that point, 'cause it would have been ugly.
Anyway, at the beginning of the episode, I was thinking to myself how the odds were, for once, good that there would either be an older member or a minority winning team. But it was still the young white dating couple. So feh. But oh, well.
Even though it was "the young white dating couple" that won, they all had an equal chance to win at the Roadblock. It came down to memory and brain power, not strength, athletic ability, maze-skills, or taxi-foo that won this race, and I was very happy to see that.

Very much this. I also was glad to see that they won because of Rachel, because she got them ahead with the puzzle.
Also, loved the puzzle. When Phil read the clue, I couldn't believe it. It was confusing. They also need to have more "clues" like the "Cook's eye view" one.
