I'm fairly certain I said no interruptions.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Finally got to watch. Congrats, Jon! Looking forward to the next round.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Is anyone else watching the newest season (I think it's the newest) of The Great British Baking Show? I am absolutely floored by what those people can do! Not only delicious but beautiful ... kind of like Buffistas, right?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm watching it. I was talking about it up thread a bit. Those boxes were amazing.

I was reminded of the article about the show that someone - you, sj? - linked to about how it was best to bring the judges SOMETHING, even if it's not complete or there's a problem with it. Two people had problems with their boxes but brought them up and got credit for having a "biscuit" that tasted good.

Maybe, but it doesn't sound familiar. It is true though.

I could have posted that. I post a lot of things when I'm not sleeping.

Is it the series with Flora which is currently airing? I think so.

Flora lives in the same valley as my parents and they know her mum and dad quite well. In fact, when my two were small and we went to visit, my parents borrowed Flora's old high chair for them to use. Our brush with fame....

I've told them to get at least two signed copies of her book when it finally comes out, one for each child. They love Bake-Off. C. is turning into a pretty fine baker herself.

I want to know what lipstick Flora is using--it's gorgeous!!! (Up to episode 4--for some reason, my PBS station showed ep 2 yesterday, ep 2 has been up on PBS.org for almost a week...and then one of the other PBS stations (WETA) has through ep 4 up on their website! So confusing)

Our wings are not tired.

I think I'll be on the last one, airing July 20

And you were! Excited to see Jon on my tv in my living room. And now I don't have to watch AGT again! The format of those kind of shows is crazy making for me.

So was it a blast? Did you enjoy meeting the people and the whole experience? It is really wonderful that you got on the show. Super cool, Dude!
