Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

For reasons which remain somewhat opaque to me, I got sucked into watching a marathon of Ink Masters last night while I was waiting to go to my dance class and it was fascinating. They were doing a redemption theme, bringing back human canvases who had gotten crap tattoos and the artists who had gotten kicked of for doing said crappy tattoos and giving the artists a chance to try to convince their former clients to let them do another tattoo (or cover up the original crappy one). It was really kind of fascinating. Also, Dave Navarro is clearly some kind of vampire because he has not aged a day since he was in Jane's Addiction.
Ok, I just started watching this week's PR and I just have to say - last season they went to Italy for inspiration and this season they're at a Best Western in LA. Um. Not that LA can't be inspiring, but...budget cuts, yeah?
But it was a Best Western Plus!
I did deliberately leave that out to skew the story.
Candaces's back is pretty but the front is boring.. I like Kelly's look but not for the red carpet. Her created textile doesn't read on camera, I guess. I really like Ashley's, although the transformative quality of her textile did not come through. I mostly like Edmund's, but it's maybe too short. Nice handling of color, though, and I like the sleeves.
Also, it's interesting how different they all ended up when they initially were all talking sequined-gowns-with-trains.
Gah, I should FF through the " why should you advance and who should go with you" part, I always hate it. But I am weak.
That is not the result I expected.
