I really like all the innovations this season of Face Off. Good choices by the producers, I guess. The finale looks like it will be incredible.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Coming in late (as so often happens), on the Great British Baking Show when they had to do sweet buns, one of the bakers chose kolachi (am I spelling that even halfway right?) and I thought of our own Steph and how she'd appreciate it. The name did confuse the judges - seemingly they'd never heard of them.
Whereas it was about the only one I had heard of.
PR: I love how Merline says "Tim Gunn", reminds me of Rob Lowe saying "Ann Perkins"
Kelly eating pretzels and supposed cream cheese and saying "is this butter? I think I'm eating butter" and then taking some more was kind of awesome.
Love Bakeoff!!
Did y'all see that top model is being ended?
Also, is anyone watching Amazong Race? There were three episodes on my TiVo before I even realized it had started.
"is this butter? I think I'm eating butter"
Yeah, I think the editing crew has a sense of humor.
I really like this group of designers, but Ashley is letting me down. I can't believe she choked last week and I was not impressed with anything about her look this week except the fit of the pants. That cape was bananas.
Has anyone else been watching Adam Ruins everything? It is something I think a lot of people here might enjoy. [link]
Agreed quester. Well, not entirely, I actually liked everything about Ashley's look except the application of 3-D printing which looked like she just gave up and threw them at the shoulders. And I have no idea what her bridge inspiration was. But she's really just thinking herself into corners, i hope she gets over it.
I power watched the last three episodes of TAR on Saturday and wasn't bowled over. There's a lot of intrigue this year and couples forming alliances to take each other out like this is Survivor or something. It just made me long for the days of the Clowns and the Guidos before there were Express Passes and U-Turns and all that crap when it really was just a race around the world. Bah. Get offa my lawn, kids. On the plus side, they were in Zambia in one of the episodes so, monkeys!
PR: I enjoy the most of the designers left on a personal level but am not blown away by their talent. This last week (or was it the week before) was the avant garde challenge, no? And I didn't see a lot of avant garde-iness. Even Tim seems cranky this season. Cursing at the designers in the workroom? I never!
