Love Bakeoff!!
Did y'all see that top model is being ended?
Also, is anyone watching Amazong Race? There were three episodes on my TiVo before I even realized it had started.

"is this butter? I think I'm eating butter"
Yeah, I think the editing crew has a sense of humor.
I really like this group of designers, but Ashley is letting me down. I can't believe she choked last week and I was not impressed with anything about her look this week except the fit of the pants. That cape was bananas.
Has anyone else been watching Adam Ruins everything? It is something I think a lot of people here might enjoy. [link]
Agreed quester. Well, not entirely, I actually liked everything about Ashley's look except the application of 3-D printing which looked like she just gave up and threw them at the shoulders. And I have no idea what her bridge inspiration was. But she's really just thinking herself into corners, i hope she gets over it.
I power watched the last three episodes of TAR on Saturday and wasn't bowled over. There's a lot of intrigue this year and couples forming alliances to take each other out like this is Survivor or something. It just made me long for the days of the Clowns and the Guidos before there were Express Passes and U-Turns and all that crap when it really was just a race around the world. Bah. Get offa my lawn, kids. On the plus side, they were in Zambia in one of the episodes so, monkeys!
PR: I enjoy the most of the designers left on a personal level but am not blown away by their talent. This last week (or was it the week before) was the avant garde challenge, no? And I didn't see a lot of avant garde-iness. Even Tim seems cranky this season. Cursing at the designers in the workroom? I never!
That was truly shocking.
Is there ever much avant garde-iness, though? Hardly ever. But, yeah, I like them more as people than designers. Edmund could still wow me, I think, but he could also not and I don't have high hopes for anyone else. But who knows what Fashion Week will bring? (They are showing at Fashion Week, yes? My co-worker who I talk PR with mentioned she hadn't heard any references to Fashion Week and then I couldn't remember any mention, either)
True, but they used to do better. I remember Christian and Chris' avant garde PR look being gorgeous and pretty out there.
And yeah, I think they already showed at this past Spring 2016 Fashion Week. I remember Tom and Lorenzo mentioning on their blog that they weren't going to cover it (and maybe they didn't even go).
Aw, I turned on the tv to see Jane the virgin and it's not on yet but the show on, crazy ex girlfriend, had musical numbers...and Alex Wong was dancing in the yoga class musical number! Which was Bollywood inspired, ish. Totally that SYTYCD training, I'm sure. :)
WHAT! Ok, crazy ex girlfriend gets a look.
Oh, and, yeah Chris was one of the exceptions I thought of, although I think the look I am thinking of was actually his couture design. But they were similar, weren't they? Anyway, I'm not sure if it's so much a decline over time as rare bursts of brilliance ever, if that is a distinction worth making. In any case, I didn't expect this crop to really get out there, and they didn't. The winning dress wasn't even all that outre, for my money, but I did like it.
