I watched it last night, but no note taking. I gotta watch it again. First impressions are that the new format is just as problematic as I had feared. So, the "street" team is going to be almost all male and all black except for a white boy who gets to be a smart "nerd" who will stand up to all that street aggressiveness and a white girl doing dance team hip pop likely because her technique was not strong enough to make it onto the "stage" team? Mmmkay. My side eye is at the ready.
Also, Jason and Paula are useless and less than useless. Miss Debbie Allen is sitting in the corner somewhere sipping her tea.
All that said, I'll STILL watch because dancers. Dancers, man! I heart dancers. No lights? Who cares. Let's just go. I spent my whole year's worth of savings on this. Bless.
I'm just starting to watch, but at least they are going to Vegas!
There better be some Miss Debbie Allen, that's all I know!
Just did a quick search - surely I'm not the only one watching
Sing It On,
am I?
I've never heard of it! What is it? Where would I watch?
The channel is called POP. I never heard of the channel before, but saw an ad for the show on another channel & searched for it. It follows several College Acapella groups competing for the ICCA championship (i.e., the real-life groups that Pitch Perfect was based on). I'm mostly in it for the songs, but there's a certain amount of drama included (I mean, they're college students, so of course there's drama).
Haven't watched the last couple episodes of SYTYCD, but was in town so got to watch last nights auditions with Bon Bon and Bob Bob! We mostly were not impressed and got distracted pulling up clips of numbers we liked better from earlier seasons.
Hey, Big Brother starts tomorrow.
