Really? I get what they were saying, but really, they were all pretty close and I can kind of see what you're saying, too. I was prepared to hate Sonjia's as soon as she said "giant bow" but I actually really liked what she ended up with (although the judges were all right and the mini-underskirt was too much). Michelle's was great except for the chain, which was maybe bad enough to warrant putting her on the chopping block. I really hated what she did for the extra-special live on the runway challenge, but I hated that they did an extra-special live on the runway challenge more. I"m happy with the outcome, however they got there, I guess, although I'm not sure I need to see any more from Dimitri.
Honestly "timeless red carpet look" is just sort of a blah challenge.
I would have liked to have seen more of the dog challenge, frankly. That seems like an interesting design challenge that I'd like more details about. Proportions and whatnot.
I thought the giant bow was horrible, and the whole dress was just trashy. That would have definitely ended up on someone's red carpet worst list. And I hated the fringe on Dimitri's dress. It just looked cheap.
Fair enough. I did think Dimitri's dress was more of a boho maxi than red carpet gown.
I can see how the other two could be considered boring, but that is probably the judges fault for asking for "timeless" when it seems that wasn't what the really wanted. I was fine with the way the quick challenge at the end went.
I was just annoyed that they decided to have the quick challenge at the end. Seemed very contrived.
I loved Dmitri's dress, but I would have taken off the sparklies -- that's what made it look cheap to me.
I love Sonji, but that dress was an '80s nightmare.
Face Off: love the relay challenge! Great idea and the finished characters were pretty damn cool.
Ooh, and to he sound effect challenge is genius.

I always wonder about the backstage details of shows like The Great British Bake off. I found an article that describes how they shoot their episodes.
I was disappointed with the Project Runway All-Stars results. I liked the other two better. Do they usually do finale of this show outside of Fashion Week and with so little time to make the collection? I honestly can't remember. I really miss the early seasons of the original show where the designers had tons of time to create their collections, I think there was a real different in quality.
