You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

Art Crawl!!!

I guess I don't really see how cooking freshwater fish is so different from cooking saltwater fish that it would completely unscrew somebody who not only is supposedly an expert with fish but also grew up in the mountains fishing and cooking. . . fish.

I'm with sumi. I'm still "what the fuck?!" about it all. Sure, trout isn't seafood, but fuck you! Chicken isn't turkey.

True, except trout is often prepared very differently than other fish. And I can see where he wouldn't have much experience with trout in San Diego. Also, I think of him as much more of a shellfish guy than a fish guy. Of course, that's because when he says he works with seafood, that's what I think of first.

Still doesn't make him less of an ass. Or change the fact that he called Eric Ripert, Eric Ripart, and his restaurant La Bernadin.

Punishingly Intricate

I was just looking at the Le Bernadin menu online and, dag, does it sound good. I wonder if I could swing it for lunch next time I'm up there.

Semi-related, friends are taking me out to Hubert Keller's Fleur de Lys next weekend for my birthday. I am so excited.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I was glad to see on recent episodes of both What Not To Wear and Tim Gunn that they gave the person new glasses instead of making them take them off. I always hate that!

True, but otherwise I hated the latest makeover on Tim Gunn.
