Finally finished watching Creature Shop Challenge. What a great finale! I hope they do this again at some point. And I hope all these competitors get jobs, they are amazing.

I really tried with Taylor's new song and video. The song is kind of catchily sing along in the way that all of her songs sound like elevator muzak. And even though Mimi already made a sorry haters classic called, wait for it, Shake It Off (vastly superior to the Tay Tay model), I was willing to give it a chance. I could handle Taylor as a rump shaking ballerina and a non-rhythm having rhythmic gymnast. I could even handle the attempted tutting and the Breaking II: Electric Boogaloo era dance off complete with Tay clutching a boombox all Radio Raheem style. But I cannot with the big gold hoops and gold link chains. Taylor and her army of twerking girls in acid washed booty shorts? T-Swift rapping like a wannabe Toni Basil in Mickey and failing oh so miserably? Are we still doing this cultural appropriation schtick in a post-Miley world? Still? Makes me wanna holler. Not even for the Chbeeb. I'll just catch him in the Virgin America "put your seat belts on, please" video.
And I'll try to be on topic by saying that I thought one of the other boy dancers in silver was Fik Shun but I could be totally making that up.

Kini's dress was so good! I was worried for him when he was doing nothing for a couple of hours, but that was probably the right choice, fussing with it would likely have messed it up.

I did not get Amanda's dress at all. I liked it better without the fringe, to be honest. And I thought a few of the "safe" middle looks were more interesting than the judges did, too. Fade's looked pretty cool.
