And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

What's Mallory's story? I didn't see whatever her season was, either

She raced with her dad and was loud and perky. I don't remember much else about her.

Hah--OK. Well, if she raced with her dad, she's used to someone older/slower, so that's good.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

The Voice starts/ed again tonight!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I do still like The Voice, but I might like it more if it were on less often.

IIRC, her dad was the brains of the team, so we'll see how that goes with Mark.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Mallory is also a former Miss Kentucky IIRC and also a Miss Congeniality. She's one of the few beauty queens who could remain perky and positive while searching through a pile of manure for a clue. The first couple of legs she was on, I wanted to kill her, but she grew on me because none of it is a put-on.

Brenchells -- Brenda cries more than any other contestant ever, but at least her partner doesn't get fazed by it and actually knows how to calm her down.

You-Tubers -- obnoxiously young, but smart enough and game, even if a task involves freaking out elaborately (but holding ones hand still) while African natives hold a live scorpion on your palm. That alone, I'd give them a lot of credit for. And they actually seem to enjoy the challenges.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Did I screw up the name?

They are Rachel and Brendan.

I think I've figured out why the dynamic on Other Worlds is so weird. None of these people watch Survivor. Except maybe Jeffrey, and whenever he plays a Survivor-style game they all flip out.

It's actually a pretty low drama show, but the outrage that someone would try to cut a deal in the final challenge and thus fail to recognize someone else's deservingness is pretty funny. Likewise the lack of outrage when (the same) someone is flat out caught conspiring with the other team.

It's also kind of funny that while they get Twitter "popularity ratings" every week, none of them seem to connect that with either past or future behavior.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I finally watched the TAR season opener. These are...not my favorite All Stars. I will always root for Flyte Time and Big Easy and I have some residual love for the Cowboys. I appreciate Margie and Luke (deaf son and mom) more than I like them. Mallory (Miss Kentucky) really grew on me but I don't think she and Mark will make great partners as neither one of them is what I'd call a great strategist. Everyone else is either meh or actively dislike. I don't know that I can take the Afghanimals again so soon after the last time. I really, really dislike them. I would've preferred to keep the Twinnies.
