Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
..who got eliminated?
The blonde with the vacant stare. Can't remember her name. I think she laughed during the "serious" shot.
Top Chef -- God, Eric Ripert is SO MY BOYFRIEND.
Yeah, Casey! and Ripert's comment about her dish having soul as opposed to Hung's prescision is why I think she'll win.
This definitely feels like Casey's to lose at this point. But anything can happen!
I couldn't believe he said that! (After all the discussion this past week about Hung as a technician vs. Casey having a soul.)
But then, if Hung had completed his dish. . . yeah. I don't care how refined it is - if you forgot an element it's not going to be it's best. Plus, I can't help but feel that the more elegant the dish - the simpler - the more important each ingrediant is.
I am super happy for Dale right now -- win or lose, at least he can feel like he has his mojo back. Unless they think his Plan B was nast, I guess.
I'm feeling really happy for Dale too.
I'm surprised - I really thought that Casey and Hung were in the finale FOR SURE and it would only be a question of Dale or Brian.
Now, I'm thinking that Dale maybe the shoo-in and it's a toss-up among the other three.
Before I watch it, I'm going to predict that Collicchio looooooves Casey too much not to have her in the final.
Wow. Excellent prize for Dale!
Ooh, did they bring back all the guest judges and add Todd English? (next week.)
