Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

De-lurking just long enough to post this:

Life after SYTYCD

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Huh. Well, that sounds like an interesting idea, and possibly a good vehicle for him.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Fucking Nick. At least Nina made it, too. I did feel sorry for (memfault) who battled through 8 rounds of LCK only to get knocked out.

Because books.

It was a little heartbreaking to see Louis go home after all that. Shirley, too, though.

I can't totally begrudge Nick the place in the final because it seemed like he really relaxed and upped his game once he got to Hawaii. But I just don't like him the way I like Nina (or Shirley or Louis).

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I knew it! I knew these judges would find a way to get Nick into the finale and mess up my dream Nina/Shirley death match. Bah. Well, that makes it easy for me to know who I'm rooting for in the finale.

I am happy that Shirley found her voice as a chef and I would totally go to her restaurant whenever she opens one up in a city near me. I couldn't feel too badly for Louis because I barely remembered him and I don't watch LCK, so I wasn't familiar with his epic 8 match win streak and I wanted Carlos to come back anyway, soooo....also, he seemed clearly out of his depth as compared with the other three both in the Quickfire and during the elimination challenge.

AI: I am still loving the new panel. HCJ is magic and JLo is just as gorgeous as ever and last night they showed her in all her Fly Girl glory on In Living Color and it was fabulous. Still way too many kids for me to care at this point.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I was on Virgin American flights recently, and they have a new safety video, which is all about the dancing. It's choreographed by Christopher Scott, and features Cyrus.

I do wish it didn't objectify the women so much, but parts of it were fun.

information libertarian

I think maybe I saw Chbeeb too, right near the end.

That was too cute! The last time I flew Virgin America, they still had the cartoon, which was also amusing but has got nothing on this.

And that was totally Chbeeb near the end. He was in it earlier, too, I think. The passenger in the plaid jacket was him also.

Well done, Christopher Scott. Hope you bring that level of choreography to the next season of SYTYCD.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I will not say anything about the TC finale tonight, but I am eager for your reactions.

Amy - Feb 05, 2014 6:21:00 pm PST #21733 of 23273
Because books.

I have reactions. Many, many reactions. Such as: I'm so disappointed for Nina. And I can't help feeling like Nick shouldn't have been there in the first place, although I know that's not true. I just like Nina so much more. But it does seem like her swordfish was a mistake, and with the subpar dessert ...

That said, I'd love to see who would win if the chefs were truly able to prepare the the meal ideally, with all the equipment they require, the precise ingredients, etc.
