I will not say anything about the TC finale tonight, but I am eager for your reactions.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I have reactions. Many, many reactions. Such as: I'm so disappointed for Nina. And I can't help feeling like Nick shouldn't have been there in the first place, although I know that's not true. I just like Nina so much more. But it does seem like her swordfish was a mistake, and with the subpar dessert ...
That said, I'd love to see who would win if the chefs were truly able to prepare the the meal ideally, with all the equipment they require, the precise ingredients, etc.
Amy,
In response:
I think the finale was bullshit. Absolute bullshit. So, the decision was SO close and yet, you give the win to someone who delivered food that was inedible to some of the judges AND someone who cussed out the service staff? Fuck you Top Chef .
Yay, another white dude chosen by a panel of majority white dudes. I am really pissed about this outcome. Nina was a better chef, goddammit.
Also, goddammit, Nick underseasoned his food AGAIN. AGAIN!!!
I cannot with Top Chef. I knew they were going to screw Nina over. I knew it. Done.
Also, Nick should not have made the finale. It should've been Nina and Shirley and I will take that to the grave.
Great. Now I can go delete the last two TC episodes from my TiVo unwatched, 'cause I don't need this kind of aggravation in my life from entertainment.
Yup.
Vonnie, the main thing you will miss is Padma emerging from the ocean in a bikini.
BTW, Tom said that Padma's votes don't count at all b/c she doesn't like her meat rare and the rest do.

Interesting shutdown of the only woman of color on the judge's panel!
