And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm not sure it will get her to the final three, but it will get her farther than she would have otherwise. With her mom around, she couldn't make any other deals - now she has room to maneuver.

I'm sure Redemption Island plays into it too - she didn't vote her mom out out.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OK, I just saw last week's PR (the classroom materials challenge) and I do not understand the decision to keep everyone AT ALL. WTF?

And now that I've seen this week's, I guess they've been working so hard to keep Jeffrey on because they knew menswear was coming up?

Man, I loved Irina's look. I don't think I've ever said that before, but that was beautiful.

Because books.

Good news for Sing-Off fans: [link]

I'd love a whole season, but I'll take what I can get.

information libertarian

I am excited for new Sing-Off, but there will never be another Pentatonix, so I feel like it's doomed to disappoint me.

Compassionately intolerant

I feel the same as flea.

I've so enjoyed previous seasons and fear I won't like be as happy with the new format and attitude.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think the stunt scheduling is fine, partly because I watch too many shows in general, and kind of like the idea of getting it over with. In the best possible way.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Didn't The Sing Off start out as a holiday/Christmas season show? I may be misremembering. At any rate, I'm just happy that it's coming back because I so love this show. As long as Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman are still in, I'm in. I don't have strong feels about Jewel taking over for Sarah Barielles. Anyone is going to be better than Nicole Scherzinger, so there you go.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

TAR: At least Tim of the Tim & Marie Squabble-off doesn't have many illusions about his partner's disposition.

I feel a little bit for her -- I don't like hard-boiled eggs, so I have no idea how long you're supposed to boil them. OTOH, I'd have the sense to actually put them in the boiling water if I was trying to cook them....

I am guessing/hoping that she was only holding them above the water for a few moments, long enough for the cameras to capture it and edit it together with Tim's comment.
