"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'd like them to cut off the "host" - no more manicures, tanning sessions, tooth-whitening. No more snagging money out of the till. Sell his fancy watch, make him actually work. I really disliked that guy. And the "bill collector" probably was a loan shark - obviously the restaurant wasn't making enough to support that guy's lifestyle. (yeah, I really disliked him)

I really wanted Ramsay to make him sell his car too, plus everything you said. He has done it on the UK version. I think he knew that would be a losing battle though. I couldn't stand him. He wasn't even good a schmoozing the costumers. The only thing he seemed good at was orderin an espresso.

I liked Kitchen Nightmares, too. Peter was insane. I was waiting for Ramsey to rip that gaudy watch right off of his arm and sell it to pay back the loan sha . . . I mean "bill collector". I remember him making one of the guys in the BBC version give up his "A-1 Chef" vanity plates. So wanted that to happen here. I think he has got to be one of the worst owners ever to be on this show. I doubt the turn around lasted much longer than it took the cameras to stop rolling.

I caught a few minutes of Kid Nation when flipping during the ANTM commercials. I liked enough of what I saw to watch the repeat on Saturday. I loved Taylor, beauty queen comment and all. She's 10, so she gets a lot of slack.

As for Survivor, sorry but I was bored out of my mind tonight. None of these people seem even remotely interesting. I hate the wrestler woman and the card player intensely already. I kind of dug the grave digger and thought the conservative Christian DJ woman was very cute kinda being a mother hen with him. Supremely annoyed by the 4th grade teacher who is now running around in her bra and panties with her dress wrapped around her waist. Helloooo, have you never seen this show before? Why in the hell would you wear that to your first day of Survivor? I barely even remember anyone else.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Survivor had a few people that could turn out ok. A lot of obnoxious people were featured tonight. I'm almost amused at how ill-suited the Coffee Shop waitress was-- the definition of hangry. She can't last long.

OMG! Laura on Tim Gunn's show. The fabulousness, it is too much. Second awesome life coach in a row.

Survivor: I'm going to try to reserve judgement, because I hated the beginning of last season, too, and then BAM! Earl, Yau Man, Crazy!Dreamz and an awesome second half pick up. But honestly, even the camps this season are underwhelming. It looks like generic jungle 101. Why go to China if you're just going to plop them in the middle of what could be anywhere? And no, using dragons in the first challenge and giving them the Cliff Notes version of The Art of War don't make up for it.

Ooh, I thought that Laura should be on Tim's show. Now I must watch this week's episode.

I really am enjoying Veronica Webb on this show more than I ever thought I would. I still find her voice annoying, but she's a good foil for Tim.

The make-over candidate is kinda boring. She was just boring pre-make-over, not really a train wreck. But dude, Laura! And she was still fabulous! I so wanna be Laura when I grow up.

Guess I'll have to look for a weekend repeat. (They're not repeating 'til 1 am.)

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Well, Survivor was the usual intro-show boring, but I think it could be an interesting season. I love the Art of War and can't WAIT until they vote off uber-obnoxious waitress chick.

Our favorite so far is John, the shy but incredibly well-built gravedigger. We also are NOT liking judgemental "I only bow down to Jesus" Radio Chick.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hee. "I'm not a religious person - I just have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ." @@

Though that was her coaching John, wasn't it? That was kind of a cute moment. Paraphrase - "Honey you don't have to be charming. Just ask them a couple of questions, they love to talk about themselves." Possibly the best social networking advice I've seen on this show.

And to a certain extent - well, she did try. And she did seem really upset about it. I think there's a gulf between the type of folks who would have got all indignant about it from the get go, and her "I can't help it, it felt like worship."

So I dunno. I think she could go either way, depending.
