I really am enjoying Veronica Webb on this show more than I ever thought I would. I still find her voice annoying, but she's a good foil for Tim.
The make-over candidate is kinda boring. She was just boring pre-make-over, not really a train wreck. But dude, Laura! And she was still fabulous! I so wanna be Laura when I grow up.
Guess I'll have to look for a weekend repeat. (They're not repeating 'til 1 am.)
Well, Survivor was the usual intro-show boring, but I think it could be an interesting season. I love the Art of War and can't WAIT until they vote off
uber-obnoxious waitress chick.
Our favorite so far is John, the shy but incredibly well-built gravedigger. We also are NOT liking judgemental "I only bow down to Jesus" Radio Chick.
Hee. "I'm not a religious person - I just have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ." @@
Though that was her coaching John, wasn't it? That was kind of a cute moment. Paraphrase - "Honey you don't have to be charming. Just ask them a couple of questions, they love to talk about themselves." Possibly the best social networking advice I've seen on this show.
And to a certain extent - well, she did try. And she did seem really upset about it. I think there's a gulf between the type of folks who would have got all indignant about it from the get go, and her "I can't help it, it
felt
like worship."
So I dunno. I think she could go either way, depending.
I am betting that she will not be this annoying again, but her overly literal interpretation of the ceremony (do you think Jesus prefers you be disrespectful to unwittingly Buddhist?) and "I'm not religious" were obnoxious.
Actually I thought the Christian Radio Woman wasn't so bad. In voice over to the camera she was a little Jesusy, but when she was talking to Jeff I thought she was diplomatic about it. She could have been much more religious much more "I 'm a Christian and it doesn't matter what you call it we were bowing down and worshipping an false idol which is against the Ten Commandments! And I will only bow down to My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." Plus she actually tried, which is why I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt.
Except I'm sad that the girl with the terrific Boston accent and the funny nose didn't get picked for the 13. And I like the idea of an "in-between" size girl. even though she's not got a chance in hell of making it in the real modeling world. Oh, and the girl from Yale? TOTALLY horse-y.
I loved that accent! But didn't think she was all that pretty. The Yalie is horsey, but I also think she's pretty.
The inbetween size girl...nice idea and all, but WTF? She wont' be able to get a job as a plus size OR as a regular, so...(On the other hand, neither can most winners of ANTM, so...)
OMG! Laura on Tim Gunn's show. The fabulousness, it is too much. Second awesome life coach in a row.
Oh ! !!! Yay!!! I forgot to record last night but they rerun it a bunch of times I think.
