Non-dancing notes. What is on Cat's feet? Looks like someone crumpled some tulle in the back of each shoe. Why is Gabby on the judges panel?
Twitch and Fik-Shun...damn. Also loved Fik-Shuns solo.

I loved what Fik-Shun said about knowing he's not America's best dancer, but hoping he could be America's favorite dancer.
That said, if Jasmine and Aaron don't win, I will cry. Also, they should get married and having dancing babies with long legs and huge smiles.
HMOG, I loved that tap number. I am so psyched that they had a tap number. I loved that you could FEEL the conversation through the tapping. SO AMAZING.
Jasmine -- Hip Hop
CRUSHED. SMASHED.
boom
Do you think the judges were overtaken with her Cyrus connection and couldn't see the forest for the trees?
Loved the Jasmine hiphop. Love Mark (but would've loved to see him DANCE rather than just choreo). Didn't hate the Tyce number, shockingly.
But really at this point, I'd rather see Amy and Jasmine win than one of them and a guy, seriously.
Would definitely put Amy and Jasmine at 1 and 2, but I guess I won't really be surprised whoever wins. I can really see both choices going either way.
I love Amy and Fik-Shun, but when it comes to preferring who I'd watch dance, it comes down to Jasmine and Aaron every time.
It is going to be one boy and one girl as winners, right? I do wish they weren't doing that -- I think one overall winner is better.
Yeah, one boy, one girl.
I can't believe that was the final performance show. I miss SYTYCD already.
Those jewels on Cat’s dress look like colorful little tumors and the bottom fringe is atrocious and why is it black but I am loving the hair, make up, and accessories. I’ll call it a wash on this week’s Cat fashion check in.
Dance Ins: I feel like these four have done the same dance ins every week. Somehow, although individually, I like all these dancers, I’m underwhelmed by this group as a top 4. I miss Paul!
Pau Pau! Oh, hit me right where I live, SYTYCD. And Gabby Douglas. Well, that’s just nifty. However, watching gymnasts dance is painful, so I don’t know what she knows about dance, but she sure looks pretty in yellow and the weave is much improved. Well done on the style front, tiny gymnast.
Amy and Aaron/Jazz/Primitive/Richard Vission vs. Luciana - Ray Leeper. Hmmm. Well, at least it’s not Tasty, right? I wish they’d brought back Mark instead. So Ray says it’s fusion, huh? What is it fused with? Costuming is totally working for me right off the bat, even though Aarons fake tattoo sleeve is far from flesh colored. Snaps up, ‘hos. Ummm, Amy was turning it out. Work! I really liked the choreography. It was tricky, tricky. Amy wanted to show America that Jasmine’s not the only one with legs and she achieved that. She was so crisp and had amazing attack (Thanks, Mary!). Her extensions and toe point . . . out of this world. Aaron seemed oddly constrained at the beginning. I think his shoulder is still affecting his range of motion. And he did kind of get relegated to forklifting her all around during the middle of that routine. Paula tried to spin it as Aaron being a generous partner, but honestly, there was a section in the middle where he wasn’t really being asked to do more than just lift Amy up or throw her somewhere. Definite props, though, for the double turn in attitude. As the judges noted, they both nailed it and were perfectly in synch. Well done, kids. Not up there with the best of them, but a solid effort.
Now we see if Fik Shun can handle his big woman!!
Hmm, let’s see. Having Peanut dance a gorgeous piece with Amy or having the smush faced nightmare that is Malece sucking up my tv time with her mismatched, no chemistry having partner Jade…decisions, decisions. Let’s hope Cat’s next offered choice isn’t so obvious.
Jasmine and Fik Shun/Contemporary/Spiegel Im Spiegel/Angela Joffe & Vadim Gluzman – I will be fascinated to see what Peanut does with this mismatched pair. Usually, he works with a big/tiny (big dude/tiny girl) and has a lot of fun making the big fling the tiny around. That will not work here. So, I thought this was beautiful and haunting. I bought the whole underwater thing, the waves of motion. And from the very beginning when they were just standing on the stage in a close embrace, they had amazing chemistry. More than Fik Shun has had with anyone on the show. Jasmine is magic. I think she makes everything better and I could stare at her plié in second position all day long. Fik Shun was better here than I expected him to be. He partnered Jasmine very well. His plié in second wasn’t too shabby. And while his feet and toe point left something to be desired, it was improved from what I’ve seen of him all season. I don’t think it was standing ovation good, but it was absolutely as good as Aaron and Amy’s first dance. The only thing I really didn’t appreciate was when Fik Shun was rolling on the ground for a couple of counts while Jasmine did pirouettes behind him, but it was quick and if you have a dancer like Jasmine, how can you not give her a good turn sequence?
Gabby Douglas is a useless judge. Pau Pau is a better judge on SYTYCD than she ever was on Idol and that’s a true fact.
Aaron and Melinda/Tap/When I Was Your Man/Bruno Mars - Yay! I love this idea, letting the dancers choose the style. Anthony Marjorato is such a baby face. Y’all, I always forget that Aaron is primarily a tapper because he’s so good in other stuff. I don’t know enough about tap to comment (continued...)
