I don't get Jade in the Top 20. He seems not to be that great in other styles and he's a teeny man and despite what Mia says, that is going to be a problem for partnering. But I got Tucker and he's gorgeous and he cut off the tragic hair so I'm happy
Hahahh. Glad others were focused on the hair and the height too.
BTW, their choreographer I *know* was on something. And his teeth could be seen from SPACE.
Yes, he seemed very weird.
I thought the judges' comments were kind of bullshitty.
Sadly, it's so rare that they aren't!
I was glad to see no NappyTab fingerprints on my hip hop.
I was definitely thinking of you, Kat, when I saw that it was not NappyTab.
I was annoyed that Sonya basically just decided to sideline anyone who wasn't a jazz or ballet/modern trained dancer by sending them off stage for large swathes of the Top 20 group routine while she choreographed a very traditional jazz piece for a select few dancers.
EXACTLY. Sonya, work within the limitations given you. Don't just say "fuck it" and have them dance 10 seconds and leave!
Can I just say, it is pretty awesome to be able to open a couple of tabs of the browser, fire up the DVR and pause after every routine to read y'all said about it. I was vaguely feeling like I should put more effort into watching live, but I might like this way better!
Yes, but also I can't wait until I get to see it live with Kat and bon bon and bob bob next week!
They remind me of ...that character from the Simpsons?
Sideshow Bob.
I'd so be driven nuts finding sand everywhere for the next week. :)
I just kept worrying that they were going to slip and fall down.
Oh no -- Rachel's sister is on this season of BB. [link]
There's a baking competition show on ... the name escapes me, I've caught it a couple of times. It has its moments. One of the contestants is Southern - VERY southern - with a thick accent. One show I saw, they were making chiffon cakes, which are made with oil. She'd spilled oil in the bottom of the oven and it was smoking; people were getting worried, afraid that the entire area would go up in flames and she kept telling them it was just oil. Only it sounded (even to me) like "oll" or something ... and people didn't understand what she was saying until she got exasperated, spelled it out, and asked if she needed a translator. Maybe.
On the other episode I caught, they were making pies. She made a chocolate/peanut butter/bacon pie. One of the judges - European I believe - was very doubtful about it, but admitted the finished product tasted good.
As with most competition shows, there seem to be a number of people who fall by the wayside early on, leaving the others to fight to the death (by chocolate).
Whodunnit is the craziest reality tv on right now. It is about several people in a murder mystery house trying to solve a murder. As a viewer you have no idea about the rules. I was considering never watching the show again (as it got a little boring and gimmicky in the middle), but the last 10 minutes or so drew me right back in.
Spoilers in white:
The viewer can kind of know what is going on, since we have some access to all the clues. But,
the way contestants are eliminated is
fucking crazy. I *screamed* out loud when they eliminated a contestant at the end of the show. Essentially,
two people were marked to be "killed." One of them checked his
doors multiple times and was
laying on his bed in his nice clothes. He was looking very paranoid. I was already kind of
laughing about this.
Then came elimination and all the other
contestants gathered outside. Then you hear a scream and then the eliminated contestant comes running out completely on fire and he dives in the pool. I was yelling: "I cannot believe they set that man on fire!" It was amazing.
Awesome opening number on SYTYCD!
It was and I wish I could watch the rest -but I don't know ifI'll be watching. The local station is messing up and keeps cutting to commercial breaks at random intervals.
CAme back from commercial break just for the end of the dance.
