Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

There's a baking competition show on ... the name escapes me, I've caught it a couple of times. It has its moments. One of the contestants is Southern - VERY southern - with a thick accent. One show I saw, they were making chiffon cakes, which are made with oil. She'd spilled oil in the bottom of the oven and it was smoking; people were getting worried, afraid that the entire area would go up in flames and she kept telling them it was just oil. Only it sounded (even to me) like "oll" or something ... and people didn't understand what she was saying until she got exasperated, spelled it out, and asked if she needed a translator. Maybe.

On the other episode I caught, they were making pies. She made a chocolate/peanut butter/bacon pie. One of the judges - European I believe - was very doubtful about it, but admitted the finished product tasted good.

As with most competition shows, there seem to be a number of people who fall by the wayside early on, leaving the others to fight to the death (by chocolate).

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Whodunnit is the craziest reality tv on right now. It is about several people in a murder mystery house trying to solve a murder. As a viewer you have no idea about the rules. I was considering never watching the show again (as it got a little boring and gimmicky in the middle), but the last 10 minutes or so drew me right back in.

Spoilers in white: The viewer can kind of know what is going on, since we have some access to all the clues. But, the way contestants are eliminated is fucking crazy. I *screamed* out loud when they eliminated a contestant at the end of the show. Essentially, two people were marked to be "killed." One of them checked his doors multiple times and was laying on his bed in his nice clothes. He was looking very paranoid. I was already kind of laughing about this.

Then came elimination and all the other contestants gathered outside. Then you hear a scream and then the eliminated contestant comes running out completely on fire and he dives in the pool. I was yelling: "I cannot believe they set that man on fire!" It was amazing.

Thrive to spite them

It was and I wish I could watch the rest -but I don't know ifI'll be watching. The local station is messing up and keeps cutting to commercial breaks at random intervals.

I'm kind of worried about Wayne Brady he's having such a hard time getting words out.

On SYTYCD - do they make up dance genres when they get tired of the standard ones? or are these actual styles that I've been ignorant of?
