As soon as they found the second idol, I was wondering if Malcolm would do that, just because all the promos all week have been touting THE TRIBAL COUNCIL NOBODY SAW COMING. But damn, that was well played. And lucky - I mean, if Eddie hadn't won at the IC and Malcolm hadn't found the second hidden idol they wouldn't have had a chance.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

Whether it works for them long-term or not, it was a fantastic moment -- the looks on the faces of the other alliance were priceless.
Plus, the three of them have a good shot at winning immunity, as long as that lasts, and as long as it's a physical challenge.
I was wondering if they'd all switch votes to Shari, since she's at the bottom of the alliance. But she's so clearly at the bottom that I wonder if she'll end up being taken to the end by someone who thinks she'll be easy to beat.
Malcolm has a special place in my heart forever for the line "Phillip is the fun sponge at camp."
Malcolm has a special place in my heart for a lot of very shallow reasons, but that's a good one, too.
As much as I like him, though, and would love to see someone who actually dominated challenges win a season for once, I'm rooting for Cochran all the way.
I think the only misstep is that it looks like Malcolm actually could have kept his idol, which he was clearly trying to suss out at tribal, given Erik's vote for "fillup". But not a risk worth taking.
From the other side, I think sticking with the plan was clearly the way to go rather than turning on Shari (or Andrea, whut?), since it did pretty much force the idols to be played, and no one's that sad to see Phillip go in the first place.
I guess they were keeping Phillip because taking him to the end with you would assure that you won? I'm just not sure I could have put up with him this long.

That challenge was pretty much designed so that only the bro-liance had a shot. Maybe Erik. And most of the challenges have been similarly weighted, so I'm less inclined to want to reward someone for that.

I LOVED this.
I'm going to put this here because of SYTYCD -- I saw a performance of D-Man In The Waters by Bill T. Jones last night, and in a couple of moments, it was like when you see Casablanca for the first time and the famous lines sound like clichés. I bet those moves weren't cliché when Jones made them up!
Hah! That's funny, Jesse. SYTYCD starts up in May! Soon!
