Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

Art Crawl!!!

Very lovely post from the Beekmans.

Also - Cooking Channel is repeating the show (Fabulous Beekman Boys): caught an episode yesterday.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Finally caught up on TAR, yay, boys. I would also have been good with the Chippendales winning, but the way it all shook out, I was happiest with the goat farmers!

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

So one of my favorite shows on my local PBS station is "This Week in Northern California" hosted forever by the much-loved Belva Davis. Since she just retired (at 80!), they are having guest hosts each week. Today's was Yul Kwon of Survivor fame. It was odd.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

He hosted a PBS miniseries last year, so I guess he's trying to make a go of TV, but keeping it classy?

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am VERY pleased with the Survivor winner.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I agree. I don't recall the last time it was that someone I wanted to win a reality show actually won.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

That was a surprisingly bitter final tribal council given how geneally nice the final three (four, even) were.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I thought the same thing!

I was rooting early on for Denise to win, but I thought Lisa had a serious chance at the end.

I'd been liking Penner during the season, but he was awfully petty in the Final, I thought.

I think a lot of what I'd been interpreting as game play was revealed in the end to be actual jackassery.
