I'd been liking Penner during the season, but he was awfully petty in the Final, I thought.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]

I think a lot of what I'd been interpreting as game play was revealed in the end to be actual jackassery.
yeah the song has been overdone, but The Voice did it nicely. not crying though mac, not understanding still.
apparently no one had a chance. That was the most lopsided vote on Survivor I have seen in awhile. I'm glad the others had a token vote, but damn.
I thought The Voice did a great job with Hallelujah. Very touching rendition. That said, the rest of the show was not that great. I love Nicholas, but doing a mash up of Great Balls of Fire/Let Me Stand Next to your Fire as your only solo, new performance of the finale was so not the way to go. I can't see how Cassadee doesn't take it all, but I suppose that's been coming down the pike for a while now. I can't even remember what Terry sang, so that doesn't bode to well for him.
Does Christina ever not wear a wig anymore?
I don't mind Cassadee -- she outsang Avril Lavigne, I thought -- but I really want either Nicholas or Terry to win. I could listen to either of them sing almost anything.
A moment of honesty: "How do you feel!?!" "I DON'T KNOW!"
After all that, the end was such an anti-climax.
Also, I kept expecting Cee-Lo's spikes to light up.
blearg.
Nicholas David coming third? Hell to the naw. That was a letdown is what that was. I knew Cassadee would win, but I still didn't like it. I do hope she becomes a big hit, though, because this show could use one. The S1 and S2 winners didn't exactly set the world on fire despite having lovely voices and seeming to be all around nice guys.
I will really miss Cee-Lo on the show. X-Tina, not so much. I rock Fighter and Ain't No Other Man to this day on my iPhone and I will stop and watch Glitter, oops I meant Burlesque, every time it comes on my cable TV and I'm not even shamed but I must admit that she was a terrible, "It's all about me" mentor and a bitter crankypants judge. I think Usher will be a huge come down from Cee-Lo but as for Shakira subbing in, well she could scarcely be much worse and that's granting the fact that the last time I saw an interview with her she still really couldn't speak English overmuch. Heck, it might make things more interesting.
The show will be back much too soon. They are courting some serious viewer burn out. I'd much rather have The Sing Off back. I still miss Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman.
