Yeah... That went well.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I screamed out OMG THE BEEKMANS YOU ARE FUCKING SHITTING ME! I was just so happy the twins didn't win (sorry Dylan), I really, really disliked them. I have not forgiven the stealing of the rockers' money. YOU TOO TEX & LEX. But Team Texas wasn't nearly as offensive and awful and mean girls as the twins, so I would have been OK with them winning.

The Beekmans did get the UN clue without asking. I love an underdog, but goddamn, I wish Brent wasn't so horrid to Josh.

Aw, Chippendales. I really did hope they'd win.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Everyone should go read the the Beekman's blog post about winning TAR. Awww. Those boys are good eggs, even though they were kind of annoying on the show at times.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Three things from The Voice: Poor Trevin!

I was a little shocked that Terry made it to the finals, in a good way.

I was touched with how genuinely happy Carson seemed to be see some of last season's contestants, except maybe Chris Mann

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Oh! I didn't know the Beekmans had a blog! Or that their "farm house" was such a gem.

Are they the "oldest" team to have won?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I highly recommend their book - the story of how they found the farmhouse and got into the business is really good. And it's a quick read, when I was on vacation I got through it in an afternoon. (I wonder how many people who only know them from TAR realize that Beekman is the name of their farm and not their actual last name?)

[eta: This book, not the cookbook.]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, those Beekman Boys are sweet.

Art Crawl!!!

Very lovely post from the Beekmans.

Also - Cooking Channel is repeating the show (Fabulous Beekman Boys): caught an episode yesterday.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Finally caught up on TAR, yay, boys. I would also have been good with the Chippendales winning, but the way it all shook out, I was happiest with the goat farmers!

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

So one of my favorite shows on my local PBS station is "This Week in Northern California" hosted forever by the much-loved Belva Davis. Since she just retired (at 80!), they are having guest hosts each week. Today's was Yul Kwon of Survivor fame. It was odd.
